Cold brewing my own coffee

Sometimes, when I can tell what I’ll be craving for breakfast the day before, I’ll make a small batch of cold brew coffee. Nothing fancy. I’ll just let coffee grounds steep in the Fresh press in the refrigerator overnight and enjoy iced cold brew coffee in the morning. Cold brew coffee tastes smoother and less acidic than other brewing methods, though some claim that it has more caffeine. I like having it with milk, as I feel that cold brew and dairy complement each other more.

I have a bunch of brewing paraphernalia, but not all of them are with me right now. I have a French press and a micro pourover, which is more than enough. Truthfully, I can live with just one brewing method, but sometimes, we should allow ourselves some luxury if we can afford it.

And it’s not just coffee that I’ll cold brew. Sometimes, I’ll do that with tea, too.
