Filipino Scares: a blog of short short Pinoy horror stories
A friend put up Filipino Scares, a tumblr page of short, short horror stories. To quote:
“this is my blog of stories, all set in the wonderfully scary setting of the philippines.
occasionally, i will also post photos, videos and links of other scary things set in the philippines that isn’t written by me.”
Said friend, by the way, was one of the people who kept me sane and laughing during a particularly crazy period in my life, so I’ll forgive his lack of capitalization in FS. He’s a nice boy who writes well, loves Firefly and takes great photographs.
If you’re Filipino, the stories in the blog will be familiar. You’ve heard most of them before, whispered around campfires or told before a game of spirit of the glass. They’re like the creepy house your great aunt lives in that you have to visit every Christmas – you know what to expect, but you can’t help but get a little freaked out anyway.
